The Central Garage Department provides scheduled, preventive maintenance as well as unscheduled repairs on over 450 pieces of equipment, supporting city-wide operations. Maintenance operations are conducted in three separate locations, each dedicated to specialized equipment including garbage trucks, construction equipment, snow control trucks, street sweepers, police vehicles as well as the city fleet of sedans and pickup trucks.

The Central Garage is responsible for the purchase and disposition of city owned equipment as well as managing the city fuel distribution facility.
