The Council is composed of the mayor and seven council members, elected by ward and at-large. They set City policy. Council offices are located in City Hall at 715 Mulberry Street.

The City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. each Monday, excluding fifth Mondays in a month. Meetings are open to the public and are held at the Council Chambers, second floor of City Hall.
